Eddie Stiven has over 30 years of experience in health and safety. His experience in renewables is chiefly in wind, but he has also worked on Tidal projects. He has worked ononshore and offshore projects, on planning, operations and maintenance, and on construction. His main role has been as a Health and Safety Manager, but he has also worked as an Operations Manager. He is currently working as a freelance trainer and consultant, delivering training in Wind Turbine Safety Rules, Managing Safely, Construction Design and Management, and COVID 19 Workplace Risk Management. Current consultation projects include an Offshore Wind Farm Development in the USA and a Tidal Project in Wales. Prior to moving into renewables, he in the field of Marine Safety.
He is also a Playwright and Scriptwriter and he lives and works in Wester Ross in the Scottish Highlands. He is a director of Wester Ross Biosphere and a member of his local Mountain Rescue Team.
